Job description
Cover Supervisor – Full-time and part-time roles available from ASAP
These flexible opportunities are ideal for support staff who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings in Enfield and the surrounding areas.
Duties as Cover Supervisor:
- Supervise classes during teacher absence, ensuring pupils remain on task
- Deliver pre-set work and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
- Provide support to students in understanding lesson content
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Liaise with teaching staff to report on pupil progress and behaviour
- Support the wider school team with administrative or pastoral tasks as required
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
- Experience working with young people in an educational or youth setting
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Confident delivering instructions and engaging with pupils
- Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to new environments quickly
- A genuine interest in education and supporting student development
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
