Cover Supervisors – Flexible short-term and long-term roles available across Tavistock and surrounding areas

These flexible opportunities are ideal for individuals who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged in their learning.

Duties as Cover Supervisor:

Supervise classes during teacher absences, following provided lesson plans
Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Support pupils with their learning and answer questions where possible
Report any issues or concerns to senior staff promptly
Uphold safeguarding standards and promote the welfare of pupils

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

Previous experience working in a school environment is desirable
Strong classroom management and organisational skills
Ability to engage and motivate pupils
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A flexible and adaptable approach to working across different schools
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
