Cover Supervisors – Flexible supply roles in Ipswich and surrounding areas, starting ASAP

These flexible opportunities are ideal for Cover Supervisors who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different secondary school settings. You will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task and engaged with their learning.

Duties as Cover Supervisor:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans across a range of subjects
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment
  • Support pupils’ learning and engagement during cover lessons
  • Follow school policies and procedures effectively
  • Communicate professionally with staff and pupils
  • Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress and behaviour

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

  • Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting
  • Strong classroom management skills and adaptability
  • Ability to engage pupils and maintain a positive learning atmosphere
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
