Job description

Step Teachers have been asked by a school in Finchley to find them a Design and Technology Teacher, to work with them for an April start. This opportunity for a Design and Technology Teacher will be for a maternity cover which could possibly be turned into a permanent position. This position is 4 days per week and the Design Technology Teacher will be able to offer Resistant Materials.

The school’s ideal candidate is;

  • A trained Design Technology teacher holding QTS or QTLS. Both NQTs and experienced teachers will be considered for the role.
  • A confident practitioner who is confident in planning and delivering the curriculum in their specialism from KS3 and KS4, using assessment for learning to inform this and ensure steady progression for all students.
  • Your behaviour management strategies will be effective and ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all.
  • As a qualified Design and Technology teacher you will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with a proven ability to understand and utilise current theory and practice in relation to learning and development.
