Step Teachers are currently looking for Design Technology Teacher, to start immediately in a long term supply role. The Design Technology Teacher role is at a Secondary School in Plymouth and is a full time role from the Easter break until the May half term, there is the potential for this to be extended beyond. This Secondary School are looking for an experienced Design Technology who can fit into the school well and is able to make a positive impact on the school and the students within. 

Design Technology Teacher Role:

• Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Design Technology curriculum
• Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
• Maintain a well organised classroom and ensure the safe use and storage of all equipment
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
• Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
• Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these

Design Technology Teacher Requirement:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification
• Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a Design Technology Teacher in a Secondary School
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
• A relevant Science related degree is desirable
• SEND experience is desirable
