Job description

Step Teachers are working with a nursery in St Albans who are looking for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner. This is a temporary role that starts immediately and is looking for an Early Years Practioner for a full time role in their nursery. 

The vision of this nursery is to provide an engaging environment that is inclusive to every child. They aim to inspire curiosity and encourage children to be confident and inquisitive.

Early Years Practitioner Role:

  • Provide high-quality childcare for children aged 0-5 years old
  • Preparing and setting up activities age-appropriate activities
  • Maintain communication with parents/carers regarding their child's progress and well-being
  • Collaborate effectively with nursery team members
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Foster an inclusive environment for all children

Early Years Practitioner Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner or Nursery Qualification
  • Current Paediatric First Aid certificate
  • Previous experience working in a Nursery or Early Years setting
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
