Position: Early Years Practitioner

Location: Hackney

Start Date: September 2024 

Type: Full-time

Step Teachers are seeking a qualified, enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner in Hackney. You will be required to work term-time only, typical school hours in a mainstream primary school with the EYFS team.

The perfect candidate will demonstrate a dedication to early childhood development, possess exceptional communication abilities, and exude warmth. In the role of Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in establishing a secure and engaging atmosphere for the educational and emotional growth of young children.

Early Years Practitioner – Role:

  • Planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote the physical, emotional, and cognitive development of children.
  • Observations and assessments of each child's development, providing regular updates to parents and colleagues.
  • Ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of all students in the class.
  • Keep accurate records of children's progress and activities.
  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively.

 Early Years Practitioner – Requirements:

  • Hold a Level 3 early years qualification (non-negotiable).
  • Recent Nursery experience in a mainstream school or private nursery.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage framework
  • Have an adaptable approach to learning
  • An empathetic and compassionate nature
  • SEND experience is desirable
