Job description
We are seeking a warm and enthusiastic full-time Early Years Practitioner with a Level 2 Qualification to join a welcoming Early Years setting on an ongoing long-term temporary basis, starting as soon as possible.
This setting keeps the wellbeing of its students at the focus on their approach, encouraging pupils to value community and respect - values tht are consistently demonstrated by both pupils and staff. A successful applicant should be prepared to actively contribute to this environment and help foster a love of learning that will lay the groundwork for pupilsas they progress towards starting school.
Duties as Nursery Assistant:
Deliver a play-based curriculum that supports the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Provide high-quality care routines, including meals, hygiene, and outdoor play.
Work closely with the room leader and team to plan, set up and evaluate engaging activities.
Observe, record and share children’s progress, contributing to individual learning journeys.
Ensure a safe, clean and inclusive environment, following safeguarding and health & safety policies.
Ideal Nursery Assistant:
Level 2 Early Years/Childcare qualification (or equivalent) is essential.
Recent experience in a nursery or early years setting.
A caring, patient and proactive approach, with excellent communication skills as an Early Years Practitioner.
Good understanding of the EYFS framework and commitment to inclusive practice.
