Step Teachers are working with a "Good" Ofsted rated school in the Barnet area! This school believes in equipping students to thrive as individuals and as citizens in a rapidly changing world and to provide a well-rounded education including a wide range of enrichment opportunities for all. They're currently looking for an experienced English Teacher to start immediately or in September 2024. The English Teacher will be teaching students between ages 13-18.

As the ideal English Teacher for this role, you will:

• As an English Teacher, you need to be able to possess a strong knowledge of the English language and English Literature curriculum at the KS3 and KS4 levels.
• Upkeep a clean, tidy, and considerate classroom environment.
• Display a strong, mentoring personality toward students.
• As an English Teacher, you must be able to cultivate positive relationships with students, working to inspire good behaviour and a passion for learning.
• Cooperate with and support your colleagues and additional classroom staff.
• The English Teacher should be able to comply with and implement the school's policies and participate in their support.

Requirements for an English Teacher:

• QTS or equivalent.
• Recent mainstream school-based experience teaching English.
• A relevant English-related degree is desirable.
