Job description

Step Teachers currently have an opportunity for an English NQT position based at a consistently "Good" School in Putney, South West London. This is a long-term to Perm position set to commence in September 2020. As a large academy trust the school is able to provide a leading CPD programme without comprising the freedom to teach independently, and the school are keen to add to their growing department.

The School have asked for a proficient English teacher who has the following attributes:

  • A PGCE certificate in English
  • Take to the role with creativity to keep children engaged in their learning
  • You should have good decision-making skills
  • Ability to teach and inspire positive learning attitudes
  • Show passion and flair in their work and make learning enjoyable

The school's aim is to make sure all students are having a fun and enjoyable time at school while learning to help them develop into responsible, articulate and successful young adults. Their most recent Ofsted paid tribute to the schools commitment to creating a sense of community and praised the relationships between students and teachers. The school is continuing to invest in their students and school, having recently completed a multi-million pound refurbishment of the school site with state of the art facilities.
