Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and committed English Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive English department. This role is perfect for a teacher who inspires a love of language and literature and is committed to helping all students achieve their best. Beginning November 2025.
Duties as an English Teacher:
Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 if applicable.
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that develop reading, writing, and analytical skills.
Assess, monitor and report on student progress, adapting teaching to support individual needs.
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities within the department.
Promote a love for literature, creative writing and critical thinking.
Ideal English Teacher:
Hold QTS and a degree in English or a related subject.
Have strong subject knowledge and a thorough understanding of the English curriculum.
Be passionate about teaching and able to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills as an English Teacher.
Be committed to raising standards and supporting student achievement.
