English Teacher
Job description
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring English Teacher to join a dedicated and successful English department. This is an excellent opportunity for a committed educator to foster a love of language and literature across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 teaching available for the right candidate). Beginning June 2025.
Duties as an English Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging, challenging lessons in English Language and Literature
Support pupils of all abilities to make excellent progress
Promote high standards of literacy, critical thinking, and communication
Prepare students for internal assessments and external examinations (e.g., GCSE)
Contribute to the development of the English curriculum and enrichment activities
Uphold high standards of classroom behaviour and academic achievement
Ideal English Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in English or a related subject
Experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
Strong subject knowledge and a creative approach to teaching
Excellent communication and classroom management skills as an English Teacher.
