English Teacher

We are working with a Secondary School in Oxford who are looking for a full time English Teacher to join there team from September 2025. The school are part of a multi academy trust and are looking for an English Teacher who can join the school and be a driving force to maintain the standards and ethos of the school

Duties as English Teacher:

• Teach English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
• Plan and deliver creative, engaging lessons that stretch and support all learners
• Prepare students for GCSE examinations with a focus on high achievement and progress
• Contribute to the wider life of the department, including extra-curricular clubs, trips, and events
• Participate in curriculum development and whole-school literacy initiatives

Ideal English Teacher:

• QTS/QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification
• A degree in English or a closely related subject
• Recent experience as an English Teacher in a mainstream Secondary School
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for literature and writing
• Excellent classroom management and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment as an English Teacher.
• A team player committed to continuous professional development
