Food Technology Teacher
Job description
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled Food Technology Teacher to join a supportive and forward-thinking department. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated educator with a passion for food and nutrition to inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Food Technology Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging Food Technology lessons in line with the national curriculum.
Create a safe, practical, and stimulating learning environment that promotes student interest in food, nutrition, and healthy living.
Support students in developing practical skills and theoretical knowledge, including food preparation, hygiene, and nutrition.
Assess, record, and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils.
Contribute to curriculum development and the wider life of the department, including extracurricular activities and enrichment opportunities.
Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement, and progress.
Ideal Food Technology Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level.
Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to motivate students of all abilities.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people as a Food Technology Teacher.
