General Science Teacher

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable General Science Teacher to join a vibrant and supportive science department. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists through engaging, practical, and thought-provoking lessons. You will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and KS5 if applicable), delivering a broad curriculum that covers biology, chemistry, and physics. Whether you're an experienced teacher or an ECT, you’ll play a key role in promoting curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific literacy. Starting September 2025.

Duties as a General Science Teacher:

• Plan and deliver well-structured science lessons in line with the national curriculum

• Use a range of teaching strategies to engage learners of all abilities

• Prepare students for internal assessments and external exams (GCSE)

• Create a safe, stimulating classroom and make effective use of lab resources

• Monitor and assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support curriculum development and enrichment opportunities

Ideal General Science Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A strong background in science with the ability to teach across disciplines

• A commitment to inclusive, high-quality teaching and learning

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills as a General Science Teacher.

• A reflective practitioner with a growth mindset

• A passion for science education and enthusiasm for inspiring young people
