Role Overview: As a Geography Teacher, you will inspire and engage students through innovative teaching methods, delivering stimulating lessons that encourage exploration and critical thinking. Additionally, you will assume responsibilities as a General Cover Teacher, providing support across various subjects as needed, ensuring continuity in learning and a positive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities as a Geography Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging geography lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment conducive to academic success.
  • Utilize a range of teaching resources and technology to enhance the learning experience.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the school's curriculum and enrichment activities.
  • Cover classes across different subjects, maintaining continuity in learning during absences.

Requirements of a Geography Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Specialization in Geography or related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching Geography at the secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to cover a range of subjects as needed.
