High Level Teaching Assistant – Day-to-day supply from as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for High Level Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working across a range of primary schools in Bury St Edmunds and nearby areas, supporting pupils’ learning and assisting teachers in delivering engaging lessons.

Duties as High Level Teaching Assistant:

Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
Deliver small group interventions and occasionally lead whole-class sessions
Assist with planning and preparation of learning activities
Provide feedback to teachers on pupil progress
Help manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
Uphold safeguarding and school policies consistently

Ideal High Level Teaching Assistant:

HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
Previous experience working in UK primary schools
Strong communication and classroom management skills as a High Level Teaching Assistant
Ability to adapt to different school settings and pupil needs
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
