High Level Teaching Assistant – Part-time, long-term temporary and ongoing starting January 2026

This is an excellent opportunity for a High Level Teaching Assistant to join a school that provides a supportive and inclusive learning environment. Duties as High Level Teaching Assistant:

Support teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2, delivering interventions and small group sessions
Assist teachers in planning and preparing lessons, adapting resources for individual needs
Cover classes when required, ensuring continuity of learning
Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to teachers and senior staff
Promote positive behaviour and inclusion within the classroom
Contribute to safeguarding and wellbeing practices across the school

Ideal High Level Teaching Assistant:

Level 3 qualification or equivalent is desirable
Previous experience as a HLTA or in a similar role within a primary setting
Ability to lead small groups and deliver planned interventions confidently
Strong organisational and communication skills
Flexible and proactive approach to supporting learning across different year groups
Committed to promoting inclusion and safeguarding children
