Step Teachers has been asked to recruit a History teacher for one of our favourite schools in the South London area. The role of a History teacher will be a temporary contract position through Step Teachers which will commence immediately and run from March. The position of History teacher would be suitable for Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT) in addition to those with more experience.

  • As a History teacher you will establish good relationships, encourage good working practices and support and lead teachers in the phase group.
  • You should have an ability to identify, focus on and work towards achieving key objectives as a History teacher.
  • You should have a teaching qualification and a History based degree.
  • It is vital that you can demonstrate experience of planning and teaching History.

This is a fantastic school where endeavour and aspiration underpin staff and student performance. Through the provision of a positive, safe and vibrant learning environment staff form a close-knit, supportive team who work together to promote successful outcomes for all. Pupils are encouraged to develop high self-esteem, social confidence and lead a healthy lifestyle.

Candidates will be subject to a variety of checks including an enhanced DBS check, full references including your most recent employer and eligibility to work in the UK. Step Teachers are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

Unlike other agencies, Step Teachers are more than happy to process your pay via PAYE – you will not be forced to go with an Umbrella Company.
