Job description
Humanities Teacher – Full-time, flexible supply roles starting as soon as possible
These flexible opportunities are ideal for teachers who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working with a range of secondary schools in and around Enfield, supporting pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4 in subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies.
Duties as Humanities Teacher:
- Deliver engaging lessons across the Humanities curriculum
- Adapt quickly to different classroom environments and school policies
- Support pupils’ learning and progress during short-term cover
- Manage behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning atmosphere
- Liaise with school staff to ensure continuity and consistency
- Provide feedback on pupil engagement and lesson outcomes
Ideal Humanities Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
- Experience teaching Humanities subjects in secondary schools
- Flexibility and confidence to work in different schools and year groups
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Ability to build rapport quickly with pupils and staff
