Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts, looking for a full time KS1 Class Teacher for a mixed Year 1 and 2 Class in a Primary School in Hoddesdon. This KS1 Class Teacher role starts in April 2024 and is a supply role lasting for one academic term and will include planning, marking and reporting.

This Primary School is looking for someone who is able to make a real impact in the school and can embody the ethos of nurturing confidence and creativity. The position is at a one-form entry Primary School where learning happens both inside the classroom as well as through extra-curricular activities. 

Role of a KS1 Class Teacher:

• Strong knowledge of the curriculum in at Key Stage 1
• Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
• Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the classroom, and throughout the school
• Ability to monitor, assess and report on the progress of your students
• Able to plan and deliver engaging lesson that can be adapted to the needs of the class
• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Year KS1 Teacher Requirements:

• Hold Qualified Teaching Status
• Recent mainstream school-based experience as a Primary School Teacher
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
• Experience working with SEND is desirable
