Job description
Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 or KS2 Teacher looking for new teaching opportunities in and around Huntingdon?
We are working closely with a number of supportive and welcoming primary schools across Huntingdon, who are seeking reliable and motivated teachers to fill a range of roles – from day-to-day cover to long-term class teaching positions in September 2025.
Whether you’re an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or a seasoned educator, this is a fantastic chance to make a meaningful impact in the classroom.
Duties as KS1/2 Teacher:
Plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Monitor and support pupil progress, providing targeted support where needed
Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse learning needs of all pupils
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SEN staff and colleagues
Maintain accurate records of pupil development, progress and attainment
Communicate with parents and carers regarding pupil achievements and concerns
Take part in staff meetings, CPD sessions, and contribute to school life
Uphold high standards of safeguarding and child protection at all times
Ideal KS1/2 Teacher:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills as a KS1/2 Teacher.
A child-centred, flexible, and proactive approach
A good understanding of the UK primary curriculum
Commitment to ongoing professional development
