Job description

Step Teachers are looking for passionate KS1 and KS2 Teachers to join our pool of supply staff for daily and short-term cover across primary schools in Oxford and the surrounding areas.
 
This opportunity is within a range of welcoming and inclusive primary schools that foster a positive learning environment. Pupils are encouraged to be curious, confident, and respectful, while staff are supported through strong leadership and a collaborative ethos. These schools promote high standards and provide enriching experiences that support both academic and personal development.
 
KS1/KS2 Primary Teacher Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2
  • Follow school policies and planning where provided, or adapt lessons as needed
  • Manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning atmosphere
  • Assess pupil progress and provide feedback where appropriate
  • Work collaboratively with support staff and senior leaders
  • Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times
Ideal Candidate for KS1/KS2 Primary Teacher Roles
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 and/or Key Stage 2
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills as KS2 Teachers
  • Adaptable and confident working across different year groups
  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
