KS1 Teacher
Job description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early learning and eager to make a lasting impact on pupils’ educational journeys. Starting September 2025.
Duties as a KS1 Teacher:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners in Key Stage 1.
Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and inform teaching.
Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.
Support the development of key skills in phonics, reading, writing, and maths.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity and progression across year groups.
Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
Ideal KS1 Teacher:
Hold QTS and have experience teaching in KS1 (or be an ECT with relevant training).
Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment expectations.
Be creative, reflective, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills as a KS1 Teacher.
Be a team player who contributes positively to school life.
