Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed and enthusiastic KS1 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early learning and eager to make a lasting impact on pupils’ educational journeys. Starting September 2025.

Duties as a KS1 Teacher:

 

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet the needs of all learners in Key Stage 1.

  • Use formative and summative assessments to monitor progress and inform teaching.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment.

  • Support the development of key skills in phonics, reading, writing, and maths.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure continuity and progression across year groups.

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.

Ideal KS1 Teacher:

  • Hold QTS and have experience teaching in KS1 (or be an ECT with relevant training).

  • Have a strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment expectations.

  • Be creative, reflective, and committed to high standards of teaching and learning.

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills as a KS1 Teacher.

  • Be a team player who contributes positively to school life.
