KS2 Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a committed team supporting pupils in Key Stage 2. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to children’s learning and development during an important stage of their primary education. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as KS2 Teaching Assistant:

• Support pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis to reinforce learning

• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, delivery, and classroom management

• Provide support for pupils with additional needs where necessary

• Help monitor and record pupils’ progress and behaviour

• Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment

• Support the development of pupils’ social, emotional, and academic skills

Ideal KS2 Teaching Assistant:

• Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally in KS2

• Strong communication and teamwork skills as a KS2 Teaching Assistant.

• A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learners

• An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

• Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) – desirable but not essential
