Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join a hardworking and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and committed to helping children succeed during this crucial stage of their primary school journey. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a KS2 Teaching Assistant:

 

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons across the KS2 curriculum.

  • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups, including pupils with additional needs.

  • Help prepare classroom materials and set up learning activities.

  • Foster a positive and nurturing environment that encourages pupil confidence and independence.

  • Support with behaviour management and contribute to pupils’ social and emotional development.

Ideal KS2 Teaching Assistant:

 

  • A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

  • Previous experience working with primary-aged pupils, preferably in Key Stage 2.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills as a KS2 Teaching Assistant.

  • A patient, adaptable, and proactive attitude.

  • A clear understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to pupil welfare.
