Learning Support Assistant
Job description
Step Teachers have been approached for an excellent opportunity to seek a Learning Support Assistant to work in a SEN Secondary school to work with a range of additional needs. We offer excellent day rates and additional benefits whilst working with us!
The school established to meet the needs of children slipping through the net of mainstream schools. Our innovative therapeutic approach to education has enabled us to support a growing number of young people, and their families, who have had difficult childhood experiences.
Role:
Able to support the students in the class under the direction of the class teacher
Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with accessible resources where needed
Work effectively with other members of staff in the classroom and throughout the school
Ability to support students and encourage their progression
Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively
Requirements:
Recent experience working in a primary school or with school-aged children
A relevant Level 2 or 3 qualification is desirable
SEND experience is desirable
