Job description

Step Teachers are urgently seeking to recruit experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to work in a Sixth Form college in Haringey.  The role of an LSA is a varied one where no one day is the same, you will play an integral and important part in a vulnerable young person’s education. 

As an LSA you must uphold the following.

  • You should be committed and flexible, able to work directly with the Director of inclusion and opportunity and with SEN TAs as required.
  • You will have worked as an LSA in an SEN setting and be capable of adaptability when regarding the curriculum.
  • You will have a good understanding of Special Educational Needs, and the needs of the more able and talented.
  • Work with learners that have a range of special needs including ASD, MLD, SEMH, PMLD and physical disabilities, in addition to difficulties with English and maths.
