Maths Teacher
Job description
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join a committed and forward-thinking Mathematics department. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop confidence, reasoning skills, and a strong understanding of mathematical concepts. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as a Maths Teacher:
Plan and deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons tailored to meet the needs of all learners.
Teach across a range of age and ability groups in accordance with national curriculum requirements.
Use assessment and data effectively to monitor student progress and inform future planning.
Prepare students for internal and external examinations such as GCSEs and A-levels (if applicable).
Maintain high expectations for student behaviour, progress, and outcomes.
Contribute to curriculum development, resource creation, and departmental planning.
Participate in regular CPD, departmental meetings, and school initiatives.
Support the development of numeracy across the school.
Engage with parents, carers, and staff to support student learning and wellbeing.
Ideal Maths Teacher:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
Have a degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
Possess excellent subject knowledge and a passion for teaching maths.
Be committed to high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.
Be an effective classroom practitioner who is reflective and eager to develop professionally.
Have strong organisational, communication, and teamwork skills as a Maths Teacher.
