Music Teacher
Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented After-School Music Teacher to lead engaging music sessions for students. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about inspiring young people through music in a fun, supportive environment. Starting September 2025.
Duties as Music Teacher:
Plan and deliver enjoyable after-school music lessons for students of varying ages and abilities.
Teach basic music theory and practical skills across instruments or voice.
Encourage creativity, confidence and teamwork through music.
Organise small performances or showcases to celebrate students’ progress.
Ensure a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
Maintain good communication with parents and carers where appropriate.
Ideal Music Teacher:
Experience teaching music to children or young people.
Proficiency in at least one instrument (or voice) — multiple instruments is a plus.
A warm, approachable and engaging teaching style as Music Teacher.
The ability to motivate and inspire students outside of school hours.
Relevant qualifications in music or music education are desirable but not essential.
An understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
