​Step Teachers are seeking a qualified teacher to work as an NTP Tutor within the Bodmin and surrounding areas. Being an NTP tutor is convenient for qualified teachers who are looking to get back into work after periods of time away from teaching and want part-time, flexible hours to fit current commitments.

The pupils have been specially selected to be part of the programme to help them catch up to their peers and rebuild their confidence. Therefore, they must have the same tutor for the entire duration of the assignment.

Role:

  • Demonstrate strong subject and curriculum knowledge

  • Use effective and accurate assessment tools

  • Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

  • Be part of a team and work with outside agencies

Requirements:

  • Hold QTS or the equivalent of

  • Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching

  • A relevant subject-specific degree is desirable
