Job description
Nursery Practitioner – Part-time and full-time opportunities, starting immediately
These flexible opportunities are ideal for Nursery Practitioners who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different early years settings. You will work across multiple nurseries and schools, providing day-to-day cover with the potential for longer-term or permanent roles.
Duties as Nursery Practitioner:
- Provide high-quality care and education for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Support children’s learning and development through play-based activities
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment
- Assist with planning and delivering age-appropriate activities
- Observe and record children’s progress in line with EYFS requirements
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents
- Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times
Ideal Nursery Practitioner:
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
- Strong understanding of EYFS framework and child development
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check or have one registered on the Update Service
