Nursery Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a kind, enthusiastic, and reliable Nursery Teaching Assistant to join an Early Years team at a warm Nursery. This is a rewarding opportunity to help create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment where children can learn through play and exploration.

You will support the Nursery Teacher and work closely with individual children and small groups to promote development in communication, language, physical and emotional wellbeing. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Nursery Teaching Assistant:

• Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum through structured activities and child-led play.

• Help children with personal care routines, including toileting, dressing, and hygiene.

• Assist in observing and recording children's progress and contributing to learning journals or reports.

• Promote a warm and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and secure.

• Maintain a safe and clean learning space, following all safeguarding and health and safety guidelines.

• Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

Ideal Nursery Teaching Assistant:

• A nurturing and patient approach to working with young children.

• Good communication and teamwork skills as a Nursery Teaching Assistant.

• Understanding of the EYFS framework and child development.

• A strong commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing.

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or Childcare
