Nursery Teaching Assistant

A warm and nurturing Nursery setting is seeking a caring and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join the Early Years team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young children at the very start of their educational journey, helping them grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence. Beginning June 2025.

Duties as a Nursery Teaching Assistant:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning activities

• Help to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment

• Support children’s personal, social and emotional development

• Assist with observations and assessments in line with EYFS requirements

• Build positive relationships with children, staff, and families

• Support with daily routines such as snack time, toileting, and outdoor play

Ideal Nursery Teaching Assistant:

• Has a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 childcare qualification (or working towards it)

• Understands the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework

• Is patient, positive and child-focused

• Works well as part of a team and uses initiative

• Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a Nursery Teaching Assistant.
