Nursery Teaching Assistant

We are looking to appoint a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to support the learning and development of our youngest children. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and creating a positive, nurturing environment. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Nursery Teaching Assistant:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS framework

• Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children

• Assist with observing, recording, and assessing children’s progress

• Promote personal, social, and emotional development through daily interactions

• Foster strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

• Contribute to the preparation of learning resources and the day-to-day organisation of the setting

Ideal Nursery Teaching Assistant:

• Hold a relevant Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or be working towards one)

• Have experience working in an early years setting as a Nursery Teaching Assistant.

• Be patient, nurturing, and committed to supporting young children’s development

• Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively

• Demonstrate a positive attitude, flexibility, and a genuine enthusiasm for early years learning
