Nursery Teaching Assistant – Full-time, long-term temporary cover from November 2025

This full-time Nursery Teaching Assistant role begins in November 2025 and offers ongoing long-term cover in a nurturing and well-organised early years setting. Children are happy and settled, and staff provide a safe and stimulating environment where children are encouraged to explore and learn through play. Leaders are committed to continuous improvement and ensure that staff are well-supported and confident in their roles. The setting promotes strong partnerships with parents and carers, contributing to children’s positive development and well-being.

Duties as Nursery Teaching Assistant:

Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities in line with the EYFS framework
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children aged 0–5
Observe and record children’s progress, contributing to individual learning plans
Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being as a Nursery Teaching Assistant
Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to team planning
Maintain a clean and organised learning space
Build strong relationships with children, parents, and carers

Ideal Nursery Teaching Assistant:

Holds a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare
Experience working in an early years setting
Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Passionate about supporting young children’s development
Able to work full-time on a temporary ongoing basis
