Step Teachers are a preferred supplier for Teach in Herts and we are currently working with a Secondary School in Cheshunt who are looking for a full time PE Teacher with an immediate start. This PE Teacher role is a long term supply role, until the end of the academic year. 

Consistently rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, this academy aims to provide a rich and high quality curriculum for every student that enables them to develop their knowledge and understanding. The school are advocates of each student being respectful and responsible for their actions.

PE Teacher Role:

• Strong Physical Education curriculum knowledge at KS3 & 4
• Upkeep a tidy, organised classroom with the safe use and storage of all equipment.
• Direct and support any additional staff in the classroom where applicable
• Ability to assess and report on your students when required
• Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
• Willingness to comply with the schools’ policies and implement them effectively

Requirements of a PE Teacher:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school
• Have recent mainstream school-based experience as a PE Teacher in a Secondary School
• Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
• A relevant PE or Sports related degree is desirable.
• SEND experience is desirable
