Phase Leader
Job description
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Phase Leader to join our ambitious and supportive school team. This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher and inspiring leader to take the next step in their career, guiding and supporting colleagues within KS1 and KS2. Assisting half a day in reception, Year 1, Year 4 and Year 6 alternating weekly. Beginning September 2025.
Duties as Phase Leader:
Provide strategic leadership and direction within the [Insert Phase] to ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning and achievement.
Support, coach and mentor teachers within the phase, driving professional development and sharing best practice.
Monitor pupil progress and attainment, ensuring interventions and support are effective.
Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to shape curriculum development and whole-school improvement priorities.
Foster a positive, inclusive and ambitious culture where both staff and pupils thrive.
Lead by example as an excellent classroom practitioner.
Ideal Phase Leader:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and proven classroom excellence.
Previous leadership or middle leadership experience (e.g. subject leadership or phase coordination).
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills as a Phase Leader.
A clear vision for raising standards and supporting staff development.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
