Photography and Art and Design Lecturer – Part-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting as soon as possible


This further education setting provides a positive, structured, and creative environment where learners benefit from supportive tutors, clear expectations, and engaging practical and theory-based sessions. Staff work collaboratively to maintain high standards, helping students feel motivated, confident, and able to develop their artistic and technical skills. Learners respond well to lessons that promote exploration, independence, and strong personal and academic development.

Duties as Photography, Art and Design Lecturer:

  • Deliver engaging Photography, Art and Design sessions using pre-prepared materials where applicable
  • Teach practical and theory components across relevant units and qualifications
  • Support learners in developing technical, creative, and reflective skills
  • Maintain a calm, well-organised learning environment
  • Provide verbal feedback and guidance to support learner progress
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet varied learning needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to maintain consistent curriculum delivery
  • Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise learner welfare

Ideal Photography and Art and Design Lecturer:

  • Relevant teaching qualification or strong FE/college teaching experience
  • Strong subject knowledge across Photography and Art and Design
  • Confident in delivering both practical workshop sessions and classroom theory
  • Effective behaviour management and communication skills
  • Creative, adaptable, and able to inspire learners of mixed abilities
  • Organised, reflective, and proactive in supporting learner achievement
  • Committed to safeguarding and promoting learner well-being
