Job description

Are you passionate about unlocking the wonders of the universe for young minds? We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Physics Teacher to join a science department and inspire the next generation of thinkers, problem-solvers, and innovators. You will teach Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, and ideally Key Stage 5, delivering engaging lessons that spark curiosity and develop scientific understanding. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality physics education in a supportive and forward-thinking environment. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Physics Teacher:

 

  • Plan and deliver dynamic, practical, and theory-based physics lessons

  • Develop pupils’ analytical, mathematical, and scientific thinking

  • Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations (if applicable)

  • Use assessment data to monitor progress and inform future teaching

  • Encourage a love of learning and independent enquiry

  • Contribute to extracurricular science/STEM activities and clubs

  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management

Ideal Physics Teacher:

 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A strong academic background in physics or a closely related subject

  • Ability to teach physics across at least KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)

  • Excellent subject knowledge and up-to-date pedagogy

  • A reflective, creative, and committed approach to teaching and learning

  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills as a Physics Teacher.

  • A commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and professional growth
