One of our partner schools in Hertford is currently recruiting for a Primary Teacher for Year 1 to take up a 1 year maternity cover from September 2019. The position of Primary Teacher is a full-time contract position through Step Teachers and would be suitable for an NQT.

• As a qualified Primary Teacher you will be an outstanding classroom practitioner with proven ability to understand and utilise current theory and practice in relation to learning and development

• The successful Primary teacher will hold positive values and attitudes and adopt high standards of behaviour in their professional role

• You will need confidence and a positive ‘Can-do’ attitude & philosophy

• Highly effective communication skills with both children and adults, including parents/carers is seen as a key area of focus

We have been working with this school on a regular basis for the past few years and our teachers have always told us it is a lovely place to work. The pupils are well behaved and generally are well supported in their studies at home and this is demonstrated in their progression through the school. Last year 100% Year 6 pupils achieved their target levels for literacy and numeracy. Ofsted most recently graded them ‘Good with Outstanding Features’, with teaching and learning being graded ‘Outstanding’.
