We are currently resourcing candidates for a school in Broxbourne who work exclusively with Step Teachers for permanent recruitment. The role of Primary Teacher is intended for a Year 4 Class and would be best suited to those with experience in Key Stage 2. However there is some flexibility with regard to Year Group and the school will consider Primary Teachers with sound experience in upper Key Stage 1. The role of Primary Teacher is a Temp to Perm position and will commence as soon as a suitable candidate is cleared for work.

The position of Primary Teacher will involve:

  • A sound working knowledge of Learning Styles and how to incorporate VAK learning opportunities into lesson planning/delivery
  • some mainstream SEN teaching, therefore experience of teaching children with a variety of additional needs would be beneficial
  • planning and teaching all subjects in the Primary Curriculum
  • Highly effective communication skills with both children and adults, including parents/carers
This is a good school which is working towards attaining an ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted and is committed to delivering an outstanding twenty-first century learning experience, with all students making rapid & sustained progress during their time at school. The SMT see the role of a school not just in terms of academic achievement, but as a platform to equip the community with skills to be life-long learners and a shared understanding of their responsibilities as global citizens.

Candidates will be subject to a variety of checks including: an enhanced DBS check, full references including your most recent employer and eligibility to work in the UK. Step Teachers are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment.

Unlike other agencies, Step Teachers are more than happy to process your pay via PAYE – you will not be forced to go with an Umbrella Company.
