Position: Religious Education Teacher Location: West Norfolk, Market Town on the Edge of the Fens Type: Long-term to Permanent Role Start Date: September 2024

Key Responsibilities of a Religious Education Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons in Religious Education, fostering critical thinking and respectful dialogue among students.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and encouraged to explore diverse religious beliefs and practices.
  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans and instructional materials aligned with the curriculum standards and school's educational objectives.
  • Assess student progress regularly through various evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings and professional development activities to enhance teaching practices and contribute to the school community.

Requirements Religious Education Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognized teaching qualification.
  • Specialization in Religious Education or relevant subject area.
  • Proven experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary level, with a track record of academic success and student engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of religious traditions, doctrines, and ethical principles, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to diverse learners.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and a passion for inspiring intellectual curiosity and empathy in students.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusivity, tolerance, and understanding of diverse religious and cultural perspectives.
