The schools we work with:

We work with a range of schools from small cohort schools to academies, same-sex schools to mixed schools. We work closely with our partner schools to maintain their staff levels, from daily supply through to permanent roles.

What we are looking for:

We are looking for ECT’s through to experienced teachers who can teach one of the sciences or all 3 sciences. You will need to have the following:

• A PGCE or B.Ed. and/or QTS
• An undergraduate degree within one of the sciences or experience teaching science subjects.
• A passion for Science
• Have the ability to plan engaging, inspirational sessions
• The adaptability and suitability to fit in with a well-established team.
• Set high standards and expectations for the achievements of all pupils.

Candidates will be subject to a variety of checks including an enhanced DBS check, full references including your most recent employer, and eligibility to work in the UK. Step Teachers are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.

In September 2021, Step Teachers moved away from using umbrella companies and now only pay via PAYE!
