Step Teachers Plymouth are currently expanding and are looking to employ a new set of dynamic, passionate, and enthusiastic ad-hoc Secondary supply teachers to help cover on day to day, short-term and long-term assignments. Due to an increase in demand from our client schools, we are urgently seeking qualified teachers to join our team of ad hoc supply teachers working in daily supply bookings.   If you are a primary teacher looking for work in Plymouth, please get in contact. 
The ideal candidate will be able to show a strong level of resiliency, adaptability and will be able to work well off of their own initiative. 
The career of an ad-hoc supply teacher means that no two days are ever the same! It can be suited to both early career teachers, as well as more those who are more experienced and are looking for a new challenge. 
As an ad hoc supply teacher you will; 
  • Cover lessons in the absence of the timetabled teacher
  • Ensure the class are on target with the pre-set work 
  • Manage behaviour in accordance with the school's behaviour policy
  • Deliver feedback to teachers/pastoral staff where necessary
As an ad hoc supply teacher we require; 
  • A teaching qualification 
  • References displaying recent experience within a classroom setting
  • A flexible and reliable approach to work
  • The ability to work under pressure
  • Knowledge of positive behaviour management 
  • The desire to positively inspire young people
As an ad hoc supply teacher you can expect; 
  • Daily bookings in diverse school settings
  • PAYE pay processed weekly
  • A designated consultant to help you when required
  • A friendly local office with long-standing relationships with schools in the area
  • To work with an agency working with the Crown Commercial Service
