Job description
Step Teachers are seeking enthusiastic Secondary Supply Teachers for daily cover opportunities in and around Witney, Oxfordshire, starting as soon as possible.
Duties – Secondary Supply Teachers
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups
- Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment
- Follow school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and assessment
- Provide feedback to the department or cover manager at the end of the day
- Adapt to different school settings and teaching styles
- Support pupils in achieving lesson objectives and engaging with learning
Ideal Candidate – Secondary Supply Teachers
- Holds QTS and has experience teaching in secondary schools
- Is confident managing classroom behaviour and adapting to new environments
- Demonstrates flexibility, reliability, and professionalism
- Has strong communication skills and a positive attitude
- Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
- Thrives in the dynamic nature of daily cover work and enjoys the variety offered by Secondary Supply Teacher roles
