Job description

Step Teachers are seeking enthusiastic Secondary Supply Teachers for daily cover opportunities in and around Witney, Oxfordshire, starting as soon as possible.

Duties – Secondary Supply Teachers
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups
  • Maintain a positive and focused classroom environment
  • Follow school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and assessment
  • Provide feedback to the department or cover manager at the end of the day
  • Adapt to different school settings and teaching styles
  • Support pupils in achieving lesson objectives and engaging with learning
Ideal Candidate – Secondary Supply Teachers
  • Holds QTS and has experience teaching in secondary schools
  • Is confident managing classroom behaviour and adapting to new environments
  • Demonstrates flexibility, reliability, and professionalism
  • Has strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Thrives in the dynamic nature of daily cover work and enjoys the variety offered by Secondary Supply Teacher roles
