SEMH High Level Teaching Assistant – Part-time, Temp to Perm, starting as soon as possible

Duties as SEMH High Level Teaching Assistant:

Support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in developing life skills and independence
Deliver enrichment activities that promote confidence and engagement
Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored interventions
Implement behaviour management strategies and personalised support plans
Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
Monitor and report on pupil progress and well-being

Ideal SEMH High Level Teaching Assistant:

Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting
Strong understanding of strategies for promoting independence and life skills
Ability to lead small group sessions and enrichment activities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and resilience when managing challenging behaviour
Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
