Job description
SEMH High Level Teaching Assistant – Part-time, Temp to Perm, starting as soon as possible

Duties as SEMH High Level Teaching Assistant:
- Support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs in developing life skills and independence
- Deliver enrichment activities that promote confidence and engagement
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering tailored interventions
- Implement behaviour management strategies and personalised support plans
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
- Monitor and report on pupil progress and well-being
Ideal SEMH High Level Teaching Assistant:
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs in an educational setting
- Strong understanding of strategies for promoting independence and life skills
- Ability to lead small group sessions and enrichment activities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and resilience when managing challenging behaviour
- Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake training
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
