Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one or small-group support for a child with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Duties as an SEMH Teaching Assistant:
Supporting the child in accessing learning and participating in classroom activities
Implementing behaviour management strategies effectively and consistently
Encouraging positive social interactions and emotional regulation
Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning materials and approaches
Monitoring and recording progress, behaviour, and emotional well-being
Providing a safe, nurturing environment that promotes confidence and engagement
Liaising with parents and external professionals where appropriate
Ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant:
Hold an SEMH Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
Have previous experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs
Be patient, adaptable, and able to build positive relationships as an SEMH Teaching Assistant.
Be committed to helping children achieve both academically and emotionally
