SEMH Teaching Assistant – Day-to-day supply from as soon as possible

These flexible opportunities are ideal for SEMH Teaching Assistants who enjoy variety and want to make a positive impact across different school settings. You’ll be working across a range of primary schools in Hillingdon and nearby areas, supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.

Duties as SEMH Teaching Assistant:

Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs
Assist with personalised learning plans and behaviour strategies
Promote emotional wellbeing and positive relationships
Help manage classroom behaviour and transitions
Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to monitor pupil progress
Uphold safeguarding and school policies consistently

Ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant:

Experience supporting children with SEMH needs in UK primary schools
Strong communication and interpersonal skills as an SEMH Teaching Assistant
Ability to build trust and rapport with pupils
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
HLTA qualification or relevant training is desirable
Passionate about inclusive education and pupil development
