SEMH Teaching Assistant – Full-time, long-term temporary role starting as soon as possible

Duties as SEMH Teaching Assistant:

  • Provide full-time support for pupils with SEMH needs
  • Assist with behaviour regulation using consistent and supportive strategies
  • Work with pupils who may display emotional or challenging behaviours
  • Help deliver lesson activities and reinforce key learning points
  • Build positive relationships to support pupil engagement
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and pastoral teams
  • Follow behaviour plans and personalised learning strategies
  • Uphold safeguarding standards and prioritise pupil welfare

Ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant:

  • Strong SEMH experience is essential
  • Confident working with pupils who may be dysregulated or emotionally vulnerable
  • Calm, patient, and resilient under pressure
